1. DON’T FLUSH THEM DOWN THE
DRAIN!!
2. The best option is to drop them off at our
County-wide drug collection program to
be held at the following locations:
3. The next most practical option is to place
them into the trash.
4. To avoid access by children, mis-users, or
pets during this process, please follow
these recommendations:
- Keep medicines in original containers
- Add small amount of water to solid
drugs
- Add kitty litter, coffee grounds, or saw
dust to liquid medications
- Double pack drugs in bags or
containers to hide immediate
identification of the materials and to
protect them during garbage handling
