


What is Healthy Kids, Healthy County Coalition? Green County Healthy Kids, Healthy County Coalition is a group of concerned citizens from a variety of organizations, including, but not limited to the health department, area clinics, daycares, schools, churches, charitable groups, county services, grocery stores, athletic organizations, agricultural groups, as well as parents and kids. The coalition addresses issues within our community that affect children’s health with a focus on healthy eating and physical activity. We understand the challenges within our community that families have to developing and maintaining healthy habits and we envision a community where everyone can live better, longer. How can I get involved? Fruit and Vegetable of the Month Look for our Fruit and Vegetable of the Month promotion around the community and use it as a guide to introduce new fruits and vegetables into your home to increase consumption of fresh, healthy foods. Use the NuBites- nutrition Tips for Today’s Families, to educate yourself with simple tips on how easy it can be to eat healthy and be active.
