Radon Testing
- Radon is a naturally occurring, orderless
radioactive gas that enters buildings from the
ground. It is the second leading cause of lung
cancer, after smoking. Five to ten percent of
the homes in Wisconsin have elevated radon
levels on the main floor. Homes with high
levels are found in all regions of Wisconsin.
The levels vary greatly within neighborhoods,
so everyone should test their home. - Radon Information

- If you are planning to do home repairs or
renovation on your home built BEFORE 1978 -
call the Green County Health Department at
- Free home testing for lead hazards is available
when a child residing in the home is identified
with an elevated lead level
Rabies Testing
- Follow-up conducted on all animal bite orders
- Testing of wild animals if the animal has bitten
or scratched - Testing conducted on domestic animals in
special circumstances
